Notes to the payments This closed-end fund FHH Immobilienfonds Bezirksrathaus Köln was converted by Paribus Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft into a regulated alternative investment fund (AIF) subject to the rules of the new German Kapitalanlagegesetz (KAGB) at the beginning of 2021. The existing shareholders had the option to terminate their investment in this old fund (FHH Immobilienfonds Bezirksrathaus Köln) – mostly after holding it for more than 10 years – and to withdraw in return for payment of a settlement credit in the amount of the market value of their investment. The market value was determined on the basis of the average value of two appraisals for the property. This results in a significant increase in value compared to the market value recognised at the end of 2009 when the property was contributed to the predecessor fund. Alternatively, the existing investors could remain in the investment company and receive a one-time special withdrawal in the amount of their original investment. In both cases, the investors participate in the considerable increase in the value of the property. The remaining investors in the company were also offered a subscription right as part of the planned capital increase. The remaining investors made active use of this subscription right.
