Universität Bamberg
The new building for the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg was constructed on the site of the former Erlangen-Bamberg cotton mill (ERBA) as part of a large-scale neighbourhood development. The new six-storey university building with a partial basement was designed as a rectangular structure with four smaller crossbars. The ground floor mainly houses teaching rooms (seminar and exercise rooms) and the cafeteria. The upper floors are mainly staff offices. The building houses the faculties of Business Informatics and Applied Informatics as well as parts of the faculties of Humanities and Cultural Studies and Human Sciences.
The object is located in the north-western part of Bamberg on the so-called ERBA-Insel between the left branch of the Regnitz River and the Main-Donau-Kanal.
