SHORT OVERVIEW
Sirius A Leiden
The fund company’s object was named “Sirius A” after the brightest star in the night sky, in reference to its tenant Airbus Defence and Space Netherlands B.V.. The adjacent neighbouring building, which is not owned by the fund company, is called “Sirius B”. Together, the two buildings form a y-shaped building complex that is connected via a common staircase. The property was completed in 2008 and combines appealing architecture with high environmental standards.
The individual floors comprise underground parking spaces in the basement, the ground floor and four upper floors. On the ground floor there is a spacious reception area with a reception desk and seating for the tenant’s guests. Furthermore, there are meeting rooms and the company restaurant set up for the employees. The upper floors are used as office space. In addition, the property has outdoor parking spaces.
The object is located in the Bio Science Park in Leiden, which lies to the northwest not far from the city centre and the main railway station. With more than 150 companies and organisations at the site, it is the largest life science cluster in the Netherlands. Many companies work closely with the university and the university hospital, which are located in the vicinity of the park.
