Total investment volume

The total investment volume is the sum of all the costs associated with planning and implementing a capital investment. It serves as a benchmark and basis for calculation for all the parties involved in the project and, depending on the project, comprises a variety of items. For a real estate project, for example, this includes the costs of acquiring a piece of land, the associated notary costs, costs for entry in the land register, the actual construction costs, secondary building costs and any interest on debt.
